Today, Tuesday 8th June 2021, Grenada Green Group (G3) attended the World Oceans Day Environmental Fair at Grenville, which was visited by five primary schools. G3’s ‘interactive timeline’ game was borrowed and used to good effect by presenters. G3 hosted a display of pictures showing the damage that littering does to marine and terrestrial environments. The students were attentive and concerned. Many youngsters signed up to ‘pledges’ about littering, and several teachers expressed interest in inviting G3 to present at their schools.
The network with the Grenada Fund for Conservation (who invited us), Conservation Kayak and Ocean Spirits, who are doing sterling work in educating the youth of Grenada about environmental responsibility, was
appreciated.
